I plan on emulating Ansel Adams. His photography is mostly of Trees, mountains, and of nature in general. I like the way that Ansel's photos show nature in it natural artistic way. Ansel Adams works by using all natural light and by using exact exposure. His photos are not photoshopped and are all in black and white. The photo of Ansel Adam's that i am going to emulate is, Half dome in winter. The picture i will be taking is one of Mont Tremblant, the ski resort in Canada. I am going to take it during the day with as much light as possible. I want to have the view of the lake to the village leading to the mountain it's self. I want to emulate Ansel Adam's photo of Half dome in winter. I like how the bright white color of the snow brightens the photo while the dark color of the water breaks up the bright white snow. I would like to do the same with my photo to have the darker water break up the white snow of the Ski mountain. I would like to emulates Ansel's style of black and white photography of nature. I want to capture the natural style and design of nature and its greatness. I am going to keep the editing of the photo limited, so the original picture will not be changed drastically. I also would like to take the picture when it is snowing so instead of having the picture crystal clear the snow will blur the image slightly. When i take this picture i hope to catch a skier on the mountain. It will also make the picture different from Ansel Adams photos because Ansel Adams does not have people in his photos it is mainly nature or inanimate objects. I also will be using a tripod to reduce the shaking of the camera if it is on a cloudy day. When i take the photo and if it is snowing i will cover my camera in a large plastic bag (ziplock) so it will not be damaged.I hope that the project will reflect on Ansel Adams pictures that come to life when you look at them. Hopefully my emulation project of Ansel Adam's will go well.

Irving Penn: Penn's photographs are different from most photographers portraits of people. Irving's photos have a twist to them. He either poses people in unusual ways, add objects to the photo or changes the background to something interesting. He adds a new spin on the photography of people. The photos that i have seen of Irving's seem to be film photos. In his photos he uses allot of props. His photos would most likely be shot in a studio and he would probably have assistants to help him set up and get props together. I do not notice any photoshop edits. The lighting he uses is artificial because most of the pictures that i have seen of his have had light all around and few shadows.

Ansel Adams: Ansel Adams photographs are mainly nature and still objects. He has been a favorite photographer of mine for a while. The lighting he uses is all natural (since they are outdoor scenes.) I know that his photos are from film prints. He has worked alone because you cant have a set out in Yosemite valley with assistants setting up the shot for El Capitan. Ansel Adams photographs of nature are a great influence to me and the photos that i take.

Hiroshi Sugimoto: HIroshi's photography varies in style. They are mostly abstract photos. They seem to have been shot in a set. The lighting is artificial. Some of them seemed to have been photoshopped because the outside of the photos are darker than the middle of the photo. I think that the Hiroshi worked alone in most of his photos because they seem to not need allot of work to put together.

Joel Sternfeld: Joel's photos are of mostly nature like Ansel's but unlike Ansel's he has people in his photographs. His photo graphs seem to be taken with a film camera. There are no evidence of photoshopping on his images. The lighting he uses is natural. I think Joel worked alone for taking his pictures because they are mostly outdoors'.

Robert Dosineu: Robert's photos are of all people in different settings and situations. Some are in the city and others are in the country. They all depict the emotion of the subject. The lighting he uses is natural light. I believe he ha used a film camera. There does not seem to be photoshopped used in his photos. His photos may have required some assistance to get his subjects in order.
