Response to: Point, Shoot, Retouch and label?

"Some think such a law..." When i first read this paragraph i thought of many different things. First i agreed that it could destroy photographic art. The editing of a photograph to me enhances a photo. But when it comes to photoshopping the imperfections of a human body to make the picture look absolutely perfect than my idea of photo editing changes. Than i thought that if you change one area of photo editing of advertisement than you should change all photo editing in advertisement.

Now that i have thought about this paragraph i think that the law would do some good to the thoughts of younger viewers. Its showing them that even the rich and famous do not look perfect, they have help from photoshop to fix there "imperfections". I think it would have an impact on people with eating disorders because they will realize you do not have to go to extreme lengths to look thin, and being extremely thin isn't always the best thing and not everyones body is perfect.

Who is the author of a photo? I think the author of the photo is the photographer. They are the ones that usually set up the shot and the ones instructing how the model should pose or how the lighting should be and etc. They are using their eye and their camera to capture something that could make them famous or the company they are shooting for famous.
