Question One: What are the three types edits that we have learned and in what order did we complete these edits for the Frame within a Frame project? Why do we edit photographs in this order?

The three types of edits we have learned in photoshop so far are , vignetting, editing photo color, and editing exposure. The order we completed these edit in were editing exposure than editing the color and than vignetting. We edited our photos in this order because exposure will change the color of the photo making it a lighter or darker shade, if you edited the colors of the photo and than edited the exposure the colors you edited will be not the way you wanted them. We use vignetting last to change the exposure of the background not the subject that you have edited.

Question Two: What are the “quick keys” for: Move Tool, Crop Tool, Brush Tool, Text Tool, and Mask Mode. We did not go over the “quick keys” for Mask Mode in class, find the answer through your own research.

The quick keys for the move tool is V, the crop tool is C, the brush tool is B, the text tool is T, and the mask tool is Q.

Question Three: What are the “short-cuts” for Select-All, Inverse-Selection and Deselect-Selection. (Ctrl + ?, if you work on a PC, or Command + ?, if you work on a Mac.)

Command + A for select all, command + shift + I for inverse selection, and command + D for deselect selection.

Question Four: Write all the steps necessary to create vignetting. Do not forget to write what Brush Mode we use, and what percentage of opacity, hardness and flow we use to paint the mask.

First press Q to bring up the mask tool. Next turn the opacity, hardness and flow to 100%. Than paint a "baked potato" oval on the subject.

Question Five: When you open a JPEG in Photoshop, how many layers do you start with, and what are they / is it called?

When you open a JPEG you start with one layer, which is called a mask.

Question Six: Which of these buttons on your Layers palette do you press to make a new edit layer (curves, levels, color balance, etc.)? Which of these buttons do you use to delete a layer?

You press the button that looks like a black and white cookie.

Question Seven: How do you “turn off” a layer / make it invisible?

You save the image as a JPG

In this image i see one frame which is the mirror. This frame grabs my attention because its the biggest thing in the picture and white frame lures my eye to what is in the mirror.

I see three frames in this image. The rear view mirror, the opening between the rear view mirror and the window and in the background the Opening of the building, which inside contains a statue.

The frames that i see here in this photo is that of the rearview mirror of the car and the opening between the mirror ands the window.  To me the interior frame that i see first is what is in the opening between the mirror and the window. Its the biggest frame in the photo so it drawing the eye to it.
